Bottom Valves for Tank Containers – Safety and Control during Unloading and Loading

A bottom valve, also known as a foot valve, is a crucial part of any tank container installation. This primary shut-off valve is mounted directly on the tank's drain point, where it forms the first barrier during the loading and unloading of liquids or chemicals.

Reliable Shut-off in Every Situation

The foot valve works in combination with a secondary valve, such as a butterfly valve or ball valve, to provide a double shut-off system. This increases safety when handling hazardous or valuable cargo.

Our valves are available in the most common sizes:

  • DN80 (3 inches) – Standard size for tank containers
  • DN100 (4 inches) – For applications with higher flow rates

Available in multiple versions in terms of outlet position:

30°, 45°, 90°, and 180° variants for different installation configurations

Manual or Pneumatic – Standard or Chemical Resistant
